5-Year Pro-Rated Warranty
Unlimited Warranty (Years 1-2)
For the first two years from the date your product leaves our factory (or the date of purchase, if confirmed by the Distributor), the warranty is unlimited. During this period, your Distributor (or our Service Department in the USA) will, at their discretion, repair or replace any defective product free of charge.
Pro-Rated Warranty (Years 3-5)
For the next three years, the warranty becomes pro-rated. Your Distributor will offer a replacement product at a discounted price. Discount rates are determined by each individual Distributor. This pro-rated warranty is valid from the date the goods leave our factory (or the date of purchase, if confirmed by the Distributor).
Warranty Conditions
- You are responsible for the cost of shipping the defective item(s) back to us.
- Both the transmitter and receiver must be returned unless otherwise instructed. We will not accept individual receivers.
- Any discounted replacement product will come with an additional 2-year unlimited warranty.
- After 5 years, Lodar products are no longer repairable and will be scrapped.
- The Lodar 8000 Series is no longer under warranty and is not covered.
5-Year Pro-Rated Warranty Terms
General Terms
- All systems must be returned in full unless otherwise specified and confirmed by Lodar.
- Replacements will only be sent after the faulty goods have been received by us.
- Systems outside of the 5-year warranty period will not be accepted for return or replacement.
Void Warranty Conditions
Lodar reserves the right to void the warranty if any of the following conditions are met:
- Water ingress due to exceeding the IP rating.
- Water damage caused by missing components, including:
- Missing screws.
- Glands not being used.
- Any other form of misuse
- Damage to the exterior case or keypad, resulting in failure of internal components.
- Overloaded or incorrectly wired systems leading to electrical failure.
- If the handset has been opened or altered in any way.
Return Process
- All returns must be accompanied by the correct “Lodar RMA” form. (Please ensure this form is included when returning products.)
- We will not accept any returned items without a visible Model and Serial number. If the Product ID label is damaged, a replacement label will be sent free of charge.
Replacement and Repairs
- Lodar does not offer repair services for existing systems. We will replace products within the warranty period and provide a pro-rated discount for items outside the warranty period.
- If a replacement is required, it will be sent on next-day delivery where available.
- Lodar will not cover the cost of returning items for warranty claims.
Warranty Coverage
- Any discounted replacement products will carry a further 2-year unlimited warranty.
- Lodar products outside the 5-year warranty period cannot be repaired and will be scrapped.
- The Lodar 8000 Series is no longer covered under warranty.
